If you live in any city in North America you are very well aware that it is hamas who has the upper hand when it comes to demonstrations, supported in most cities by the inaction of their respective governments. This has been in our faces since October 8, 2023.
Who really is on the front lines are the university and college students. For 15 months these kids have been verbally and physically harrassed not only by other students but by their teachers.
So it comes as a complete shock that B'nai Brith would laud Madame Pascale Dery for deciding, 15 months after October 7, to now launch an investigation into antisemitism in Vanier and Dawson. What about McGill and Concordia? They don't count?
And B'nai Brith is lauding her for her leadership? On what planet do those who work in B'nai Brith live? Leadership? The word doesn't exist in Dery's vocabulary.
She has one thing on her mind - how to get ahead in her career. As such, she will do, say, sell anyone to get ahead. In this case, it is her own Jewish community.
It is very clear that pressure was coming from somewhere to prompt Legault to decide now is the time to launch an 'investigation' which will go nowhere.
Doesn't matter. The students are being used for someone's benefit. And who better to carry out Legault's charade than Pascale Dery.
Given all of the above what's in it for B'nai B'rith to get into bed with Pascale Dery? Everybody knows nothing will come from whatever of our monies she will spend on an investigation.
B'nai Brith should be very, very embarrassed for going along with this farce. They have diminished their credibility manifold.
Thank you Neil Oberman. He is the conservative candidate for the Mount Royal riding. He's a doer, not a talker helping the kids on campus. And here's what he did:

In real time: The ssmu must refrain from holding a Board of Director vote to ratify their antisemitism policy which was adopted by the ssmu legislative council December 5, 2024.

In case you were not sure if Anthony Housefather has lost almost all his credibility in his riding of Mount Royal, we will tell you. He has.
There was an event this past Saturday night in a synagogue in Montreal. Housefather was one of those present. The person who introduced him referred to him as...wait for it...Anthony Weiner. More than once.

The eye-opener was that no one in the audience corrected the mistake. In other words those present were true Canadians - they reserved in their reactions by silently not defending Housefather.
Justin is reviled. Housefather is not far behind as every time he posts something 'great' he did in terms of the Jewish community zero changes. One can see a virtual rolling of thousands of eyes. Another useless Instagram post. He is fooling only one person. Himself.

We're not sure what world Justin lives in, but most leaders know that Trump smells weakness and has fun with someone like that. Justin's groveling was weakness and Trump picked up on it immediately.

Trudeau indicated that he wasn’t concerned about his comments impacting the US-Canadian relationship, but Trump reacted angrily calling Trudeau “two-faced".
Clearly Trump is toying with Justin, but he has his number and a long memory. Trump also realizes that a) Justin is on his way out and b) he is a lightweight when it comes to world leaders. And that is being kind.
Trump reads the NY Post and no doubt saw the well-written article saying that Canada, under Justin's 'leadership', has turned Canada into the antisemitic capital of the world and are irrelevant on the world stage.
All to say that Trump thinks - and rightly so - that Justin is a weak, limp captain of the ship.

One has to wonder who exactly is advising Justin and his minions on when to and when not to apply the gst. Clearly it's someone with who is a dolt with a sense of humor. They also do not have the faintest hint of a clue about any religion but their own. Nor did they bother to ask anyone.
So what doesn't have the gst applied: Natural trees, artificial trees and...wait for it...Chanukah bushes.
Yes Mildred, when you go buy your Chanukah bush you won't pay the gst. Here's a headline for those morons: If you are a Jew, you use a menorah for Chanukah. The holiday is not remotely connected to the other one at the same time of year.
