When was Vive Le Quebec Libre born? When the late French President Charles de Gaulle stood on the balcony of Montreal city hall and instead of just saying hello or bonjour to the crowd, he yelled out vive le quebec libre sending the baby boomer crowd into a frenzy.
That was the stamp of approval the separatists needed to begin the long road to getting their own country of quebec. That was over 50 years ago and since then they have lived in their own little Dr. Pepper bubble.
Alas, this fantasy has now come to bite them where the sun don't shine.
Thanks to les unions of quebec, Amazon will cease operations over the next two months in seven operation sites, one fulfillment centre, two sorting centres, three delivery stations and one AMXL (extra large) delivery station that is co-located with a sorting centre.
If we worked for Amazon in quebec we would be mighty ticked off at their unions because their leaders were not happy just unionizing. They wanted a 30% increase in the hourly salary rate from $20 to $26 per hour. Really?
Did they not see that if Amazon gave them a 30% hourly increase, every fulfillment center in the world would be asking for the same increase in salary?
Obviously they did not because they kept going until Amazon pulled the plug.
Amazon doesn't need aggravation from quebec, they don't need the unions here, they don't need threats and now they are gone.
We can still order from Amazon but it will take longer to get the orders and most likely there will be less choice. Our hope is that the fulfilment centers will be taken over by other delivery companies and things will straighten themselves out.
The bottom line is that over 1700 people lost their jobs and they can thank their union leaders who clearly live in their own little french Canadian, Dr. Pepper bubble. Quite the rude awakening, n'est pas?

President Trump has signed an executive order allowing the deportation of foreign students who support Hamas.
The order instructs those responsible for granting student visas to ensure that applicants are not hostile toward the U.S., its citizens, principles, institutions, or culture, and do not support terrorist organizations.
This is what needs to be done here as well. You are not happy in America or Canada - get the hell out. Nobody wants you, nobody needs you and your love of hamas and antisemitism will no longer be tolerated.

In essence DEI means that if a white man or woman had all the right qualifications for a job including experience and, get this one - brains - he or she would not get hired because the government had to hire either a black man or woman, a gay person, a trans person, a gay, black trans person, an Asian trans woman - get the drift?
He's cleaning house and will rehire people according to their qualifications and nothing else.

Pierre Poilievre gave yet another masterful performance yesterday when interviewed by a talking head in Toronto. You may recall his apple interview where he made minced meat of that interviewer.
Yesterday he was asked about the gender issue. His deadpan response was that he is only aware of two genders — male and female — and that the government should leave questions of gender identity alone.
The host kept pushing until Poilievre finally challenged him, asking if the host had “any other (genders) you want me to consider, you’re welcome to tell me right now.” No response.
Finally, at last, a dose of reality. G-d willing, we will have someone in power who actually believes that you are either a boy and use the boy's bathroom or a girl and use the girl's bathroom.
If you think you were born the wrong gender - not at five years old - then deal with it but leave the rest of us alone. It's nobody's business and nobody cares.

As you read above, Trump ordered all federal workers on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs to be put on paid leave this week, calling the programs 'dangerous, demeaning and immoral.'
Pictured above is the former chief DEI officer Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley saying the move from Trump shows a 'lack of understanding' about what DEI programs are.
Here's some free advice: Paid leave will end shortly. If she cares about all the DEI hires, Ms. Abercrombie-Winstanley will give her minions a dose of reality. People get hired for what is in their head, not what is on their head.
A final note: All the people running to lead the liberal party - every single one of them - are all walking back every law, every edict, everything they shoved down our throats during the last ten Justin years.
They are all lying to try to lead the Titanic. Jawdroppingly stunning.
Once elected they will go back to being the woke, we-know-what-is-good-for-you jerks they always were. That includes keeping the carbon tax, keeping the huge penality for capital gains and hiring tens more DEI losers.
