REMEMBER SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARFS? WOKE TO THE RESCUE. NOT.

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go... In their insatiable desire to appease and fawn over the woke culture, Disney did a remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs minus the dwarfs. They got the ax. Cut. Snip. Chop.

Why did they do this? According to Disney Grumpy, Dopey, Sleepy, Sneezy, Bashful, Happy and Doc are a) all men. b) all white and — worst of all c) they perpetuate 'harmful' stereotypes against forest-dwelling, pointy hat-wearing, nonexistent fairytale beings.

Here's a headline for Disney: People have never confused the cartoon dwarfs in the movie with actual human beings. Wait. Here's another headline: Snow White is a fairy-tale. It's not real. It's pretend.

If you want to have your say in this completely absurd movie, it's pretty simple. Stay away. Don't give Disney your money. Woke corporations cave the second they face consumer blowback.

Just look at the ongoing Bud Light/Dylan Mulvaney fiasco. Bud Light and its parent company Anheuser Busch are trying everything to get their people back. Money always talks.

One thing we can say with certainty. It doesn't take long to get used to having an endless supply of other people's money (OPM) to spend. We speak of our illustrious governor general Mary Simon and her oh so entitled boss Justin.

One would think that coming from her background - indigenous, she would have some idea that OPM is not coming to her. Alas, we were wrong.

Lest you think we are exaggerating, here ya go: The Governor General’s four-day visit to Iceland last fall racked up over $71,000 in limousine costs. And she did this without batting an eye. Blink - $10,000. Another blink - $15,000. Just keep going.

Four of the charges were listed in the expense report as “GG VISIT TRANSPORTATION SERVICES,” totalling $64,799.57, payable to “Icelimo.”

A fifth charge to Icelimo, for an advance visit, was for $6,474.08.

And what is Icelimo you ask? Pioneers in luxury travel and transportation in Iceland, offering VIP transportation private jet transfers, as well as private day tours. Oh really?

And why was Ms. Mary Simon in Iceland? This is one of those Justin let's-find-a-way-to-spend OPM on the most useless and absurd thing we can:

She went to demonstrate Canadian leadership in the Arctic, and reinforce other priority issues for Canada in the north, including climate change, reconciliation, gender equality and youth engagement.

Gender equality is very important in Iceland. You knew that Blanche, right?

Blanche, you do know who Karine Jean-Pierre is? We'll remind you. She's Biden's chief press secretary and, as the saying goes - stands by her man. Kind of like a parrot.

She expressed confidence in the secret service after the agency announced last week that no suspects were identified in the investigation into who brought cocaine into the White House earlier this month. Oh, so the cocaine 'just got there'.

It appears the secret service can't find even one eensy weensy part of a video of even a shadow of a person who dropped the cocaine in the White House. Are they saying that if anthrax or any other dangerous substance was found in the White House they would have let it go and say they couldn't find out who put it there? No. They would have found the culprit likety split.

Jean-Pierre is good at one thing and one thing only. Being a parrot.

It appears that even though nobody wants to talk about it, keeping people home for months on end during covid killed a good part of the office rental business in Manhattan.

Let's talk about one dude who bought up tons of real estate right after the 2009 financial collapse. Over three years, he spent $4.5 billion on Manhattan office acquisitions. By 2020 he was a major office landlord with more than 22 million square feet of space in the city.

Three years after the pandemic emptied office buildings nationwide, he has been forced to reckon with the possibility that the buildings that were worth so much not so long ago may now not even be worth keeping.

Did you know that 21 percent of the city’s property-tax levy goes to pay for schools, public housing, fire trucks, pensions, parks, and so much else that makes life in New York tolerable?

5 Times Square currently has 23 of 33 of its office floors empty and available for lease. That building was purchased in 2014 for $1.5 billion.

60 Wall St., 1,571,781 total sq. ft. available space: All 1.57 million square feet of its office space is vacant. It’s undergoing a renovation but has yet to lock down any new tenants.

1 Liberty Plz., 867,250 total sq. ft. available space:

80 Pine St., 748,630 total sq. ft. available space: In 2020, when a slew of leases ended, 800,000 of the tower’s 1.2 million square feet were suddenly vacant. The owners decided to sink $100 million into the building. Post-renovation, some space has been leased, but it still has a ton of square feet available.

Remember when Jared Kushner's family bought 666 Fifth Avenue in 2018? Around two-thirds of its space remains available, and leasing lately appears slow with not a single new deal so far this year.

Now go back to the beginning of this article which says that 21% of property tax funds the infrastructure of Manhattan. Now look at all the homeless people and the crime. Not that we want to be a debbie downer, but it doesn't bode well for Manhattan in the short term. Or maybe even the long term.

Remember San Francisco used to be a fun place to visit? That's over. After many high end stores left, after the homeless took over, after defund the police - some stores in the city have begun locking up frozen foods in an attempt to fend off shoplifters.

Walgreens started chaining its frozen food section because it has been targeted by shoplifters up to 20 times a day. Workers said normally shoplifters clean out all the pizza and ice cream every night.

And if you really want to know the reason for all of this...Under a voter-approved California law, the theft of merchandise valued at $950 or less is considered a misdemeanor and is frequently not investigated.

So, going into Walgreens and stealing ice cream and other frozen foods will get you exactly that - ice cream and other frozen food - for free.

Any news about the quebec liberal party?

Did they find their illusive leader yet?

Or are they going to let the czar legault rule unopposed again next year?

Asking for a friend.

We'll talk...
